Rewind
When crypto transfers go wrong, they usually become final immediately.
Wrong address. Phishing signature. Fat-finger amount.
Blockchain finality is powerful.
But “final the moment you click send” is not the right default for every transaction.
Rewind X adds a short, sender-controlled rewind window before finality takes hold.
What is Rewind X?
Undo transfers before they become final.
A time-bounded rewind window for ERC-20 transfers.
Protected Transfers
3 min – 24h WindowTransfers enter a short rewind window before they become final.
Deterministic Execution
Fixed On-Chain RulesOutcomes follow fixed on-chain rules — not manual review or discretionary reversal.
Non-Custodial Design
Smart Contract LogicFunds are controlled by smart contract logic, not by a human operator.
What it is
- A protocol for time-bounded protected transfers
- Deterministic on-chain rules
- Sender-initiated rewind window
What it is not
- Not insurance or fund recovery
- Not a chargeback system
- Not custody
- Not a promise that every mistake can be reversed
How It Works
Four steps to protect your transfers
Create Protected Transfer
Send a supported ERC-20 with a defined rewind window. Funds enter contract-held state under fixed on-chain rules.
- Non-custodial by design
- No admin can move or redirect user funds
Active Undo Window
3 min – 24hDuring the active window, the sender can rewind or release early. If nothing happens, the transfer continues toward final settlement.
- Sender-controlled during the window
- Early release allows immediate settlement
Execute Rewind
If the sender rewinds in time, the protocol executes the return on-chain. Execution follows predefined rules, not manual approval.
- Hold period enforced on-chain
- No manual approvals or operator decisions
On-Chain Proof
Each successful rewind leaves a public on-chain record — minted as a Rewind Proof NFT.
- Publicly visible on-chain
- Verifiable proof that the action occurred
Built for Real-World Transfers
From everyday senders to operational payment flows. A time-bounded undo window for ERC-20 transfers.
Error Recovery
Wrong address, wrong amount, wrong token, or duplicate payment. A short rewind window helps reduce irreversible sending mistakes.
Protection Before Settlement
Address poisoning, phishing, or social engineering can still happen. Transfers are not instantly final, which gives operations more review time.
Configurable Windows
Choose your protection window from 3 minutes to 24 hours. Protection windows can be tuned to different transaction contexts.

Fair & Predictable Fees
Transparent fees for protected transfers. No hidden costs.
Protected Transfer Fee
1–3%
1% for preferred supported tokens
Up to 3% for extended / non-preferred supported tokens
Rewind Execution Fee
1.5%
Only applies if a rewind is executed
NFT tiers reduce the protected transfer fee. The rewind execution fee is separate and not discounted.
Protection Fee
Charged at transfer creation
- 1% preferred · Up to 3% extended
- NFT tiers can reduce this fee
- Applies per protected transfer
Rewind Fee
Only if a rewind is executed
- 1.5% per rewind execution
- Calculated on-chain · Hard-capped by contract
- Never rewind → never pay this fee
What does it cost in practice?
Example: $1,000 protected transfer · Preferred token (1%)
If transfer settles normally
If you execute a rewind
Extended tokens (3% protection fee): total cost if recovered ≈ $45 on a $1,000 transfer.
Most supported tokens (USDT, USDC, DAI, WBNB, ETH, BTCB) fall into the 1% preferred tier. Token category is determined by liquidity, oracle reliability, and operational risk profile. Exact fees are shown at transfer creation in the app.
Protected transfers cost more than standard transfers because they add a review window and recovery path.
Use protected transfers when the cost of an error would be higher than the protection fee.
Comparison
Reversal Models Compared
Most systems rely on custodial intervention. Crypto offers no recourse. Rewind X introduces protocol-level, on-chain reversibility.
| Model | Custody | Reversal Type | Time Window |
|---|---|---|---|
Chargebacks | Custodial | Discretionary | Days – Months |
Bank Recall | Custodial | Manual | Uncertain |
Crypto Today | Non-custodial | No reversal | — |
Rewind XOn-Chain | Non-custodial | Deterministic | 3 min – 24h |
Reversibility becomes a protocol feature — not a support ticket.
On-Chain Proof of Successful Rewinds

PROOF INDEX · CUMULATIVE

Loyalty Discounts via Rewind Proof
Per rewind. Proof minted automatically after each valid rewind (above $10 USD). Appears in your wallet as an ERC-721 token. Volume and token data update on-chain.
Auto-mint after first valid rewind
Auto-mint after 3 valid rewinds
Auto-mint after 10 valid rewinds
Each tier mints as a separate NFT — your wallet collects all earned tiers.
Discounts apply to the protected transfer fee only. The rewind execution fee (1.5%) is separate and not discounted. Tier thresholds use USD value at rewind time (Chainlink-priced).

Security Principles
Non-Custodial
Funds are governed by smart contract rules.
Deterministic
Execution follows fixed on-chain conditions.
Bounded Admin
Emergency controls cannot access user funds.
Preventive Safety — Not Recovery
Rewind X offers a time-bounded window to reverse mistakes before final settlement. It is not insurance, and it does not recover lost funds.
Rewind X adds a rewind window without changing the core guarantees of blockchain finality.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Rewind X
No. Rewind X is non-custodial: funds are held by smart contracts under deterministic on-chain rules. No admin key can move or redirect user funds. During the active window, only the sender can execute a rewind. After expiry, the transfer moves to settlement and either the sender or recipient can complete it.
Only the sender who created the protected transfer can execute a rewind, and only while the rewind window is active. Receivers and third parties cannot rewind or cancel a transfer.
Windows are configurable from 3 minutes to 24 hours. Users select their preferred duration at transfer creation. After expiry, the transfer moves to settlement and either party can complete it. No rewinds are possible beyond the window.
This depends on the fee mode you choose. Fee deducted: the protection fee is taken from the transfer amount, so the recipient receives less than you entered. Fee added on top: you pay the protection fee separately, so the recipient receives exactly what you entered. If a rewind is executed, the sender recovers the held amount minus the rewind execution fee. The exact amounts are shown before you confirm.
Standard transfers settle immediately with no protection or recovery option. Protected transfers add a review window, deterministic rewind logic, and on-chain proof. Protection fees range from 1% to 3% depending on token category. The 1.5% rewind execution fee applies only when you actively execute a rewind. Token category depends on liquidity, oracle reliability, and operational risk. Use protected transfers when the cost of being wrong on a specific transaction would be higher than the protection fee.
No special wallet is required. Rewind X is designed to work with standard EVM-compatible wallets. Protected transfers use standard ERC-20 approvals and do not require allowlists or custom infrastructure.
Rewind X uses bounded rewind windows, fixed execution rules, and protocol-level constraints (sender limits, cooldowns) instead of open-ended reversals. These protections restrict actions under specific conditions but do not give the protocol control over user funds. It is designed as preventive transaction safety, not unlimited rollback.
Rewind X currently supports 34 ERC-20 tokens on BNB Chain, including major stablecoins (USDT, USDC, DAI) and popular DeFi assets (WBNB, ETH, BTCB, and more). Native chain tokens (BNB) require the wrapped version (WBNB).
No. Rewind X is not insurance and does not guarantee fund recovery. It is a technical mechanism that provides a time-limited rewind window, enforced by smart contract logic. A rewind is only possible while the window is open and the transfer is still pending. Once a transfer is received, expires, or is otherwise finalized on-chain, no rewind is possible.
